life moves on:
the sun rises and it sets
the rain falls and it evaporates
the wind comes and fades away
and as all cycles, we fall
crash
plummet
we repeat
rewind
stand back up
yet the remnants of the past haunt us
they creep up on us
they linger within us
and as we go forward
as the sun sets
[oh! how it reminds me of you]
as the sun rises
[how the warmth of your love gave me hope]
as the rain falls
[you were my violent downpour of emotions]
as the rain evaporates
[sigh, why can’t they just dissipate]
as the wind comes
[darling, I was swept away]
as the wind fades away
[oh darling, why can’t you stay]
life moves on.
