PTA elects new board members



Mrs. Anne A. Mapa, Grade 11 PTA President, was elected as the new UPIS PTA Board President for AY 2019-2020 during the general assembly at the UPIS 7-12 Gymnasium last September 7, 2019.

The newly elected PTA Board Members were introduced by the Principal, Dr. Lorina Y. Calingasan, as they also took oath for their positions.

Mrs. Charina R. Abogado, Grade 8 PTA President, and Mrs. Angela C. De Guzman, Grade 10 PTA President, Auditor were re-elected as Treasurer and Auditor respectively.

In the general assembly, activities and expenses of the PTA for the past academic year were discussed as well as upcoming activities and projects for Academic Year 2019-2020.

A question and answer portion was also allotted where parents asked about various activities and events, such as the prevalence of dengue in the school.

A short farewell ceremony was also held for the previous PTA Board President, Mrs. Maria Dolores R. Eloriaga.

Before the general assembly, individual meetings per grade level were also held to discuss previous and upcoming batch activities and projects.

UPIS parents, teachers gather in annual PTA Assembly

This year's UPIS Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) General Assembly was held on July 4, 10:30 am at the Auditorium.

In his welcome address, Principal Ronaldo San Jose gave updates on the different infrastructure projects slated to be finished this year. He informed the parents and faculty that UP and Meralco are in the process of installing permanent power supply at UPIS. He also reported the progress on the construction of the fences at the 7-12 Building and the 3-6 and 7-12 Canteens.

Dr. San Jose then introduced the incoming officers of the UPIS PTA Board, headed by Mrs. Charo Abogado, its president for AY 2015-2016. Mrs. Abogado succeeds Dr. Amihan Bonifacio-Ramolete, who served as UPIS PTA Board president for 4 years. / CCCA

PTA General Assembly, muling ginanap

Ginanap noong Hunyo 21,2014 ang taunang PTA General Assembly.

Pokus ng talumpati ni Dr. San Jose, ang ilan sa malalaking hakbangin ng paaralan sa pagpapabutingmga pasilidad nito. Pinagtutuunan ng kanyang opisina sa kasulukayn ang mga sumusunod: pagpapatayo ng kantina sa elementarya at hayskul na ayon sa kanya ay nasa proseso na ng bidding, pagbili ng mga kagamitan sa silid mula sa Adopt-a-room project, at ang pagkakaroon ng permanenteng supply ng elektrisidad sa paaralan sa darating na Agosto ng kasalukuyang taon.

Binanggit din niya na naipabatid na nila sa Administrasyon ng UP ang mga isyu kaugnay sa construction ng building tulad ng pagkabitak ng mga dingding at pagbagsak ng mga sirang panel sa ikaapat na palapag. Sa kasalukuyan ay pinipilit nang tugunan ng Ayala Land ang mga problemang ito.

Nagbigay naman ng ulat pampinansiyal ang Ingat-yaman ng PTA Board ng nakaraang taon at sinundan naman ito ng oath-taking ng bagong PTA Board para sa akademikong taong 2014-2015. / ni Anna Punzalan

Ginanap ang General Parents-Teachers Association Assembly noong Hunyo 23, 2012, sa ganap na ika-1 ng hapon sa Multipurpose Hall ng UP Integrated School.

Bilang panimula, ipinakilala ni Dr. Ronaldo San Jose ang mga miyembro ng administrasyon ng UPIS na sina Prof. Nancy Flor bilang Assistant Principal for Administration, Prof. Roselle Velasquez bilang Assistant Principal for Academic Programs at ang mga puno ng bawat departamento.

Ipinakilala rin ang mga bumubuo sa PTA Board para sa akademikong taong ito (2012 – 2013) na pinangungunahan ni Prof. Amihan Ramolete bilang Pangulo; Dr. San Jose, bilang Pangalawang Pangulo at labing-isa pang mga grade level PTA presidents.

Matapos ang maikling programa at presentasyon ng ulat pampinansyal ng nakaraang pamunuan, nagkaroon ng maikling forum sa nabanggit na okasyon.

Ilan sa mga naitanong ng mga magulang ay ang pagbabalik ng 4-day schedule, pagsusuot ng PE uniform sa klase, atbp. ● by Miguel Flores & Dara Lilang

UPIS holds Pep Rally

All for one, one for all!

The different UPIS Varsity teams gathered last August 23 at the Multi-Purpose Hall for the UPIS Pep Rally.

The event's theme is Stand UP and Shout and its objective is to get support for the different UPIS teams in the UAAP 74th season.

Athletes from the Swimming, Track and Field, Volleyball Girls and Boys, Table Tennis, and Basketball teams and the UPIS Tamboleros paraded around the UPIS grounds and proceeded to the Multi  for a short program.

Dr. Ronaldo San Jose, principal, and Prof. Amihan Ramolete, PTA Board President, gave words of encouragement to the athletes.

Prof. Ramolete promised that whatever happens, the PTA will always be there to support each team. She also said that they will do their best to give what every team needs.

Prof. Grace Sumayo, head of the department of Health and PE, wished the athletes good luck and invited the students to watch the different games to show their support.
