Literary (Submission): A Love Letter

Milady Dear,

Love is a topic so often touched, yet it still remains mysterious and shrouded in confusion. What exactly is this curious emotion? Oh, it is so many things at once. It is a faint whisper that is difficult to find and yet is always there affecting your whole being. It’s a siren’s song which lures you to your death that you may be a better man, reborn. It is a slow descent into madness that brings not asylum, but joy and togetherness. It is, lastly, though not, as the cliché goes, the least that feeling I hold for you.

There is so much about you that deserves notice. You are fair—that is without question. One time, you were bathed in the golden light of the sun, and it emphasized all your features, in stark contrast to the room’s dull and drab interior. You were a love fairy in a classroom grove. You’ve a wit that yields only stupid jokes, but I can’t for the love of God, help but laugh. You work hard for your goals. You brave stormy seas and sleepless nights for things you consider important. Your dedication is admirable. You also keep child-like joy about you. ‘Tis something so rarely seen today for people wish to become “adult” quickly. To be able to both retain a child’s glee and become mature and responsible at the same time is commendable.

Forever, according to Emily Dickinson, is composed of nows. May all those nows be spent ‘twixt you and me. We could get lost in the streets of an unknown town and try to find our way home. We could lie beneath a starry sky and just savor the fresh air and each other’s company. We could do anything.

Sincerely,

Rory Williams

Literary (Submission): Two Kinds

Fear
Irene Adler x Fera

There are two kinds of fear in the world
I am the ghost of the past
I am the mystery of the future
I chase your deepest regrets and leave you aghast
I am a maze with an outcome still unsure
Everyone is horrified of the things they have done
Everybody tries to get out and away they run

Both are terrified of the memories that happened and will happen
We are the fear that lingers every now and then

Change
Laya Cangiante x Barsiti

There are two kinds of change in the world
I am deliberate change
I am unsincere change
I thank my conscience for chasing me
I can’t find myself, I want to be free
Everyone thinks that I changed for the worse
Everybody thinks I did great
But I need to put myself first
But I did not choose this fate
Both of us are different now
People keep on asking how
We know that change isn’t permanent
It’s a lifetime experiment

Dreams
Dawson x Evie

There are two kinds of dream in the world
I am daydream
I am nightmare
I show rainbows and unicorns and puppy paws
I give focus on your fears and flaws
Everyone adores me for I free them from
the land of reality
Everybody loathes me ‘cause I terrorize your
mind with maximum tenacity

Both of us are figments of your imagination
Conjuring creatures with no meaning or explanation
We give you feelings, wildly different from each other
But one is not special without the other

Love
Olivia x Silhouette

There are two kinds of love in the world
I am we
 I am you and me
I help you escape reality and carry your crosses
I am the thorn beneath your bed
Everyone wants to experience me
Everybody finds me instead
But some never do
Breaking their hearts into two
Both of us are disguised as forever
But only one lasts

We embed ourselves in your history
One in the present, the other in the past

Pain
Quentin x Code Matrix

There are two kinds of pain in the world
I am physical pain
I am emotional pain
I am temporary, soon will be a memory
I am long lasting, causing them internal bleeding
Everyone can see me but they all know I won’t last
Everybody feels me even if I am in the past

Both of us cause damage
You can’t hide us using bandage

We are essential to the world
Even though we cannot be heard

Freedom
Coconut x Red Wood

There are two kinds of freedom in the world
I am constrained freedom
I am true freedom
I am chained by the law, bound by society
I am not false, nothing can control me
Everyone wants to believe I’m true but
they are bound by their own rules

Everybody believes that they have me,
but I am really farther than what they see

We both have the same nickname but

We never held the same meaning.

Happiness
Shortstop x Skywalker

There are two kinds of happiness in the world
I am temporary
I am everlasting
I make you feel like you’re as high as the clouds
I make you feel like you’re soaring through the sky
Then suddenly gravity pulls you down
and I’ll always be there to catch you before you reach the ground
Everyone will eventually feel empty
And when they do I’m the one they look for
Everybody gets what they truly need
and nothing else seems to matter anymore
Both are a part of life
Without us, you feel dead

We are the things you always long for
But when received, we are taken for granted

Literary (Submission): A Love Letter

To you,

Years have passed, times have changed, and I thought my feelings would too. You’ve taught me that feelings are not always right for someone can manipulate it. You’ve proven me wrong until this day. Before all this, before you... I was a song without a melody, a poem without a story. The word “love” wasn’t even in my dictionary. I never knew a four letter word would inspire me, motivate me, and would change me in more ways than one.

Love is happy, love is sad. Love can walk through the door anytime. Love is never sure at first but will eventually realize the truth. Love can be two-sided, but also unrequited. And in my life you are synonymous to love.

Every moment with you feels like I have all the time in the world to waste with you. Without you, I feel like time is slowly making me suffer. You’re the only one who understood me, through my problems and in the darkest of times. Without you, it feels like I'm lost in translation.

Love would also hurt much. There are no words that can describe the pain. There are times when memories hurt more than words, when remembering leaves the largest of scars. I couldn’t stop remembering, not what we were, but what we could’ve been.

Love could either be heartbreaking or that “kilig story” you’ve always wanted. But, love for me is regret. I keep remembering my tragedy. I keep to myself my thoughts on what we could’ve been. Like we could’ve been talking personally, sharing all the thoughts and stories. We could’ve been a couple as great and perfect as Romeo and Juliet. Though it’s too late now to be drowned in regrets, for memories stay the same and you couldn’t change a thing.

Love is the greatest cure for anything but also the simplest weapon of all. Love is my biggest regret but I don’t know why I keep repeating this mistake for there’s a feeling love gives that I just can’t let go of.

Literary (Submission): You and I

DIFFERENCES
by Michael Tee, Jr.

You are a sunflower
That always faces the bright side of things
And you stand with the heat and light on your face

I am the mushroom
That looms in the shadows, hiding from everyone
And I lie in the damp cool ground within my caves

We are different from each other
Completely opposite
Together for now, but will soon part from each other

POLARITY
by Zero

You are water
That ripples in my mind
And splashes the rocks by the sea

I am oil
That can’t catch up with your greatness
And am slow but more intact

We are elements that aren’t for each other
Whatever we do we can’t be together
It would be better if we could
Just part ways. Forever.

APART

You are like the rainbow
That appears after the rain
And gives me hope for a better day

I am like the moon
That can never be with you
And always in the dark without you

We are like the sky and earth
That can never be together
But here I am, still hoping for the better

Predators and Competition
Cyrille Villanueva

You are a saber
That hunts down the weak
And kills anyone who opposes you

I am a wolf
That hunts down the weak
And the one who defeats
The likes of you

We are a rule of nature and life
We are just fragments
Of the cycle and we are unstoppable

Rainbow
Eddie

Thou art the sun
That warms earth’s arables
And makes ye grass greener

I am ye rain
That pours upon plains
And quencher ye thirst of mundanes

We are ye rainbow
An elusive sign of hope
The dawn of a new beginning

Water
Francis Eloriaga

You are the oncoming storm
That men dread and fear
And you bring nothing but pain and sorrow

I am the sea
That is unpredictable and unrelenting
And I help people with living

We are water, ever flowing and unpredictable
We bring darkness and hope
But we are unforgiving

Nightshade to His Love

Come live with me and be my love
And we will reach for the stars above.
Whatever comes, whatever goes,
I’ll stick with you wherever the wind blows.

And I will be your valiant knight
To shield you from harm, plague, and spite.
Shining armor, I do not own,
But no hurt shall reach your bone.

For you I shall move sky and stone,
Sing melodies of glorious tones.
If these delights thy mind may move
Then always stay, stay my love.

Silver Rose's Reply to Nightshade

If all your promises were true,
Then I will stay and love you.
Will you follow me to the moon and back?
Surely your bravery will not lack.

I feel that you must not endure all these,
Just sit back and enjoy the summer breeze.
But then looks and fancy words don’t matter
As long as we’ll stay with one another.

My heart tells me to say “yes” and “always”
But is this the right way so I wouldn’t go astray?
But then these delights my mind might move
To come with you and be your love.

-----

Silver Rose to Her Love

Come live with me and always say “always”
And we will never have to doubt each other.
After all we’ve been together,
I will not leave you, not ever.

And I will love you
More than Snape loved Lily Potter.
You don’t have to be a knight in shining armor
Be yourself, that is all that matters.

For you I shall make each day memorable,
I swear upon the River Styx.
If these delights thy mind may move
Then even after all that happened, I’ll stay with you until the very end.

Nightshade’s Reply to Silver Rose

If all your promises were forever true,
Then I’d risk it all to be with you.
As Percy and Annabeth braved Tartarus’ depths,
We’ll face the world and all it begets.

I feel that what you have, to me you offer,
I cannot give, I cannot better.
But then again this is not for me,
Yet what you have said fills me with glee.

My heart tells me that your intentions are pure
But to someone else’s ail is your love a cure.
Then these delights my mind might move
To me your love, a just, a prove.

Faber Castell 0.7 to His Love

Come live with me and be my other half
And we will reach the mountain top,
Together we will live and laugh.

And I will offer you all my time and effort,
I will give all the best for you.

For you I shall be loyal,
I shall be your only one.
If these delights thy mind may move
Then answer me, “Yes,”
And be my other half.

Battlefield’s Reply to Faber Castell 0.7

If all your promises were pure
Then I would give my honest answer.

I feel that your love is sincere
And that your love is kind, that’s clear.
But then again, the world is big
Our lives have just begun.

My heart tells me to wait some more
Find ourselves first, just to be sure
Then these delights my mind might move
To answer when we meet again.

Battlefield to Her Love

Come live with me and be my love
And we will catch the stars above
With hearts as free as flying doves
And watch the glorious sunset.

And I will brighten up your day
With every heartfelt word I’ll say
Transcending time with each embrace
Say “Love you” with a smiling face

For you I shall be a better person
Because you are my inspiration
If these delights thy mind may move
Then come with me and take this chance.

Faber Castell 0.7’s Reply to Battlefield

If all your promises were true
Then I will share moments
And be with you

I feel that you’re honest to me
But then you should not fail me
Because I trust in you

My heart tells me that I should follow you
And believe in you
Then these delights my mind might move
To also love you.
