Literay: Kodak's Eye

Lenses

all I want is to see,
every fascinating view
that God created
for us humans
to adore and cherish

obtaining the power of lenses,
a mortal’s sight
and optics of a camera
granted me an ability
to gaze at scenes and even
pause the moment

sharing the same purpose
both lenses did travel
across the globe
thirsting for
never-ending beauty

Camera
as it encounters nature

the shutter snaps,
how the tsunami
flooded the entire city
with fear and corpses

throughout the sky
a panoramic view of
the charm showcased by
Aurora Borealis,
makes the lens dazed

Sight
humanity’s success
is also witnessed

out in the vast cosmos,
a black hole imitating
the human eye
was captured

calming city lights
gleam as I look
outside the window
of a plane

bombs are thrown
and guns fire tears
the flesh of the innocent,
as if peace is thrown to oblivion

Vision

all I want is to see
the fascinating views
that God created

all I want is to see
the fascinating views

all I want is to see

Gift

What he wants us is to see

What he wants us is to see
the chaos and the beauty

Literary: She

there is this entity
who only knows
to roam through deserted places
all by himself

when he soars
through a tenebrous sky
the lone moon brightens up
this black and blank canvas,
like how her pearl-like teeth
stand out among his tales of woe

later he descries
the depths of an ocean abyss
and finds some
stories she used to tell
about shipwrecks and airplanes
nosediving their way
into this bizarre place

after that glimpse,
he returns
to the ocean surface
where he is in between
the worlds he visited,

tides rise even higher,
waves synchronously
flow with his psyche,
helping him ruminate

suddenly, he grasps
the idea of
it not being
a deserted place after all,
how he discerns
an image of her
inside his mind
makes him feel like
loneliness is non-existent,
that her death
did nothing but
separate the alignment
of their timelines

she makes those
unusual places
feel like home-
maybe “she”
was just another word
for home

Literary: Room of Realization

fragments of a mirror
are scattered
all over the room
and some pieces
collect beams
that come from Sol
and reflect them
onto dreary eyelids
similar to what
happens to Luna

this gives some
sense of vividness
to our monochromatic
beings

a reminder that existence
is like a swan singing
and ticking time bombs

thus we let
our crumpled paper boats
made out of
bygone pages
cruise into our tears
as they nourish the white roses
that will fill our empty vases

Literary: Tales at Bedtime

a drowsy midnight it is
full moon serves
as the only lamp
and the artistry
of imagination
ushers you
to numerous tales
of reality itself

saying there is
no such thing
as Dracula
our own youth
will soon cease

that we are the ones
piercing needles
into our own dolls

that phantasms
of yesterday’s
monstrous incidents
have been leading you
to an empty void

at last,
the mind’s candle
has gone out
providing a quick escape
but the scenery
of haunting tales
still manifests
in your whole psyche

Literary: Inescapable

What does one do
When he finds his being
Reduced to a mindless cycle
Of waking and sleeping
With only emptiness in between
What does he do
When he steps out
Hoping to find comfort
But only finds
That the world
Is a breeding ground
For apathy
That the crowds are a gathering
For the lonely
What does he do
When all that is offered to him
Are empty words
And sweet insignificance
What does he do
When he has to choose
Between nothing
And nothing

Maybe he does
Continue to accept
How reality keeps on shifting each day and night
Even when those dreams and feet
Keep appearing the same plot and footprints
Over and over
Maybe he does
Realize that apathy begins
Every time he's
Trying to grin through a crowded world
While he's the light
he has always been trying to perceive
Maybe he does not
Need to hear
The gloom of each word
That came from a phoney mouth
Maybe he does not
Need to choose
Between nothing and nothing
Maybe what he needs to do
Is to create something new

Literary: Blissful Ignorance

People praise how beautiful the nocturnal sky is. Why not gaze at an unexplored world where sunlight is non-existent?

People keep pointing out these gleaming circles with distinct colors. Why not be overwhelmed by the entities who make their own ink palettes?

People don't want to blink because they'll miss a shooting star. Why not try to blink to get a glance of a weird and monstrous place?

People want to see the Aurora Borealis embellish a pitch black sky. Why not flash a light into the depths where it paints a whole new different scene?

People are used to seeing a silent cosmos. People want to be a part of different constellations. Only an inch separates the night sky from the twilight ocean. But why do we keep looking above instead of diving beneath?

People love to admire
What seems to be out of reach
As they pretend to reach out
Without any intention of trying
While they tell themselves
They never could have made it
So they sit, they watch, and they sigh
Blissfully in artificial ignorance
For if they admit
That they could reach out
Somewhere else
To find the beauty
They have longed for
They will be confessing
That all the efforts they have made
Were all just for show
So like I, they just wonder
At what they’ve already seen
Afraid of asking themselves
What could be

Literary: Mirth in a Small World

Ship sails through the air
Mood swings its way back and forth
Like a pendulum

Moon stares its way down
Ferris wheels and kiosk lights
Gates closed this morning

Bumper car tickets
Accidentally bumped you
Both eyes and smiles meet

Pink cotton candy
Roam around different booths
Memories with you

Literary: Haikus

A febrile feeling
About to see you again
Red lips and short hair

Your dilated eyes
Constellations align us
Quiet evening sky

Fingers intertwined
Sunset’s about to begin
Just stay for a bit

Entering cosmos
Ticket to another world
My moon river date
