Literary: Stuck on Rewind
I keep on hitting rewind
to go back to those verses
and notes
that once made me feel
euphoric.
The melodious song
that made me remember –
your voice,
your scent,
your love,
every little thing about you.
This melody
which I sang with nobody else
but you in the past
that I kept holding on to.
I keep on hitting rewind
hoping that I can bring back
those small fragments of the past
altogether again;
trying to bring back the memories
that once were true,
but now,
all part of a mere illusion.
