Literary (Submission): Dear Moonlight,

Hi, hello! Will you be here long?
How much can I expect or am I wrong?
Your silver touch how soon will it go?
Will you come another night or… no?

Shall I witness your graceful rays
Or shall I burn in the sunlit days?
Those of my nature, those of my stature
I cannot see but upon my departure

I wish to feel your gentle embrace
As I go off and disappear to my ways
I’d like to go calmly to you, dear
How I’d love if you were near

May I? Or may I not?
Lay upon your silver cot
For another night and on and on
Until the day that I am gone

My lovely serenade
All for you, I am your humble aide
I love the night as I do me
I’ll sing it to you and you will see

The things we come to love, it begins in mysterious ways

Literary (Submission): Pixie Dust

Do you remember when mommy said to go
Three little pigs set out to a world they didn’t know,
She said, “Today's the day you ought to fly.
How do you know you'll hate it if you don’t try”?

That night you lay down on your bed
You wished upon the star in your head
Couldn’t you go to Neverland?
Endless trees, paradise, and sand

They say all it'll take is pixie dust
But what ever happened to faith and trust?
Is there a Peter Pan to guide my way
Because the North Star doesn’t shine today

What, I wonder, must I think?
Joyful things but tears on the brink
I don't want to leave, I wish to stay
To be with loving mother another day

But the pirates came, the war, begun
The children must leave by risen sun
Peter Pan, young fairy boy
Take me now to the land of joy

Where are you so that I can fly
Far away and the child may never die
Please Peter Pan, to the world that never grows
Don't leave me here, with age that forever shows

Literary (Submission): Just Like That x There's More

Just Like That

In the dying breath of a decade
We built an eternity
On a striking clock
Was it all for naught?
Treasure troves and alleyways spill with laughter
One, two, four, three
Will we come back to this slice of forever?
Do I want to, had I wanted it ever?

There’s More

The eternity we built
On the striking of a clock:
Was it all for naught?
It was as a fleeting life is
In the eternity of all things;
And those troves and alleys spilling with laughter:
Shall we come back to that slice of forever?
Would you want to, had you wanted it ever?
Perhaps regardless, you and I should,
So it’s not left for naught.
