I can’t say goodbye
For I tremble, I cry
It leaves a pain that won’t go by

Whispers will begin on their own
Telling me in a treacherous tone
That I am better off alone

I can’t be separated
For it will leave my heart weighted
And make it feel unwanted

With a heart that’s racing,
And restless breathing,
I am pleading

Don’t leave me,
Nor abandon me,
Don’t let me be
