Aenas Vibal from 5-Arayat landed 1st place at the Baden Powell (BP) Quiz Bee held last February 26 at Mt. Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna.
Vibal represented the Boy Scouts (BSP) of District 4 Quezon City at the city-wide quiz bee which featured questions about Lord Baden Powell, founder of the modern scouting movement. He placed ahead of 5 other contenders from the various districts of the city.
The quiz bee proved challenging to Vibal due to its short notice and midnight schedule. “The contest po happened between 12:30 AM and 1AM kaya po medyo inaantok na ako that time. But I felt I just needed to win so nilabanan ko po yung pagod at puyat ko,” Vibal shared.
Meanwhile, Cynl Tecson of 9-Zinc, also from UPIS, represented the Senior Scouts (SBSP) of District 4.
The BP Quiz Bee was held along with other Scouting-related activities at the 2017 Baden Powell Camporee. Quezon City boy scouts convened for this camp that ran from February 24-26 in celebration of the 160th birth anniversary of Lord Baden Powell.
