The UPIS Boy’s Volleyball team lost three consecutive games last Saturday and Sunday, February 8-9, 2020, at the SM Sands by the Bay.
Team Captain Miggy Castro and his teammate Brett Borja started the game striving to get a point and hoping to get a win. But no team gave mercy to the UPIS Boy’s Volleyball team and let them winless.
UPIS bowed down to Far Eastern University - Diliman (FEU) at 21-14, 21-9 and to De La Salle- Zobel at 21-3, 21-7 respectively on Saturday.
The next day, Sunday, UPIS fell under the National University-Nazareth School (NU) with the score of 21-7, 21-14.
In just two days, the UPIS Volleyball team got knocked down thrice causing the boys to continue the search for their first win.
Team Captain Castro said that they are still having a difficult time adjusting to the sand as they only had an opportunity to train twice before the tournament.
The UPIS Boy’s Volleyball Team will be going head to head with the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers this February 15, 2020, Saturday,10 a.m., at the SM Sands by the Bay for their last game this season. //by Alyssa Avila
