You do not have to weep another round beneath the early morning’s moonlight
You only need to turn to just one, most familiar face in your lifetime
Because I am here to pry your hands from yours if need be

You do not need to cry behind the backs of uncaring people
You do not have to mourn for the loss of things you never really desire
You only need to recognize what love offered’s true or not
Because what I deliver is real and alive, like you, through hardships ‘til now

You do not need to hide your smile through fake colored ones
You do not have to search the globe for anonymous mutual hearts
You only need to realize the other individual who has been with you all the time
Because I will never turn away, for we share the same blackened, but still hoping souls

I will be the songbird shaking your nightmares to replace happy dreams in reality
I will be the slumber you rely on in class and the waking call to the next
