alumni,
Giving back has never been this golden.
UPIS Batch 1967, which is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, gave back to their alma mater once again in their reunion last February 14 at the UPIS Narra Function Room.
The reunion was held to call on other members of Batch 1967 to take part in their scholarship program.
The batch has provided college scholarships to selected UPIS alumni through the Ramar Scholarship Foundation Inc. which has assisted around 41 students so far. It has also been involved in various benefactions for UPIS, among them the sponsorship for the Guidance Office and Guidance Testing Room. An LCD projector and a white screen projector for classroom use at UPIS have been donated as well.
Ms. Ena Charmaine Sy, one of their previous scholars and now a faculty member of the UPIS CA-EMA Department, delivered a speech of gratitude for the help she and the other scholars received. According to Ms. Sy, the scholarship program has been of huge assistance since it provides the students with both financial assistance and personal mentorship.
