alpha,
I remember it as though ‘twas yesterday.
Eyes
I observed you from afar
As my eyes trailed down your left wrist
Noticing your scar
You looked around your surroundings
As though feeling my curious stare—
I averted my eyes immediately
Ears
I overheard the teachers talking—
“His grades are slowly dropping”
Just like your never ending tears when I heard you sobbing
I tried to approach you that day—
Attempted to at least find a way
But you were in a rush and left in a hurry
Much to my dismay
Mouth
Just as I was about to leave
I saw you by yourself
So I took the chance
“Hi,” I greeted you warmly
You smiled back hesitantly,
Surprised at my company.
As we sat there,
A friendship blossoming
We were finally
No longer alone
