When sneakerheads look for delicious burgers to snack on, they head to Maginhawa Street’s Sneaks; Snacks, the one-stop shop for delectable bites and fresh kicks!

With the hopes of bringing its customers something extraordinary, owner David Matriano opened Sneaks & Snacks in October 2016. Matriano was already a sneaker enthusiast before he became a restaurateur and he thought of opening the sneaker-themed restaurant and store because several sneaker groups in the Philippines often meet over meals.

“We all know that apart from collecting sneakers mahilig din sa meetups ang mga sneakerheads over coffee, lunch, or dinner. So this serves as an avenue for them to connect and collect,” Mariano shares.

In Sneaks & Snacks, customers can indulge in burgers and drinks to feel more comfortable while checking out the shoes in stock. Those who are just getting into the sneaker world are also more than welcome visit the shop, which was designed so that customers can window shop without pressure.

The establishment is decorated with photos of shoes that would make any sneakerhead drool along with kickin’ quotes on the floor, Yeezys incased in glass on the table, and a pair of Jordan 1 Banned (BREDS) hanging from the ceiling. Next to the counter are shelves that display shoes and some Nike and Pablo apparel that are sure to make you look trendy. Matriano is also exploring other clothing lines and collaborating with other brands which is definitely something to watch out for.

Besides the shoes, customers also come here for the food. The restaurant’s menu includes burgers, steaks, pasta, wings, rice meals, all-day breakfast and more! Recommendations are the Quickstrike and Stan’s Meat.

The Quickstrike has the contents of what a regular burger would have: beef, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and cheese, which is perfect for those who want the usual mix. You can start with this if you simply want a taste of their delicious Angus Beef patties. The ingredients complement each other so well, giving you a mix of different flavors in one bite. Once you cut the sandwich with a knife and fork, you’ll see the sauce oozing out, calling you to devour it immediately.

Not satisfied with just one patty? Your eyes will widen the moment you see the Stan’s Meat, the two-patty burger with shitake mushrooms and caramelized onions. It’s twice the meat and twice the goodness. The mushrooms with the caramelized onions just make everything better with the already savory burger. Your plate may get messy, but you won’t leave any hint of food behind.
