Literary: Those Days
I lived in anger, fear, and regret
As I sought for forgiveness and put my life to bet.
People judge me for the things I did wrong
That is why I’m searching for an uplifting song.
My tears fell and I wiped them away
As if they only lasted for a day.
The times I was hurt, it was because I cared,
Now, I have to accept that life is unfair.
I did things I wish I could change
I wonder if life can still be rearranged.
Second chances don’t last for so long
So I’d better act before mine’s gone.
As time goes by everything fades away
Though deep in my heart I wish you stayed.
I sleep with joy now, when I lay down at night
And I can see brightness even without light.
