So much nonsense in this place
Like seeing no planes in an airbase
Better get out soon, find some breathing space
Or go back to sleep so as not to face
People who make living in this world a disgrace—
Those who mock you for your race
Use you as if you were a tool from a case
In a deck, they are kings but you’re an ace
And they still think they’re right on base
What happened to the world that was easy to embrace?
The one that was like a beautiful bobbin lace
Maybe we should restart with a blank space
Get back on track and start in the right place
Help this world we so desperately want to replace
Life would be so much better…
If we lived in a world of sanity
Where everyone is in the right mentality
Where more value is placed on morality
And everyone practices more of hospitality
If they’d give up brutality
For it gives nothing but agony
To a world that needs vitality
Yes, this is just a simple fantasy
Far from our reach, a distant galaxy
It seems that there is only one way to see this reality
‘When I count the sheep,
Close my eyes, and fall asleep.’
