I went to sleep last night
And witnessed a war between two nations
Saw families breaking apart and homes being ruined
Saw armed men taking advantage of women and mistreating helpless children
I went to sleep last night
And watched a country where injustice dominates
Where the lucky get to live like kings
And the unfortunate have to live in misery
I went to sleep last night
And observed a society where women stands lower than men
Where they are seen as objects
Where they are forced to obey men for they had no choice
I went to sleep last night
And noticed that there was a separation between humans,
A discrimination based on skin color,
A division between people with different religion and beliefs
I woke up at dawn
Sweating and panting
Wishing that everything I saw was just an illusion
But then I remembered what I wanted in the first place—
I have a dream of changing the world
I want to give meaning to peace and unity
I want to stand up for something
I want my dreams to become reality
