adieu,
Literary: The Place I Dreamt
I dreamt of a place
Covered in neon and gold
The colors clashed,
But that’s not what I saw
Green frogs, pink hogs, a yellow giraffe
The most normal things turned into a wonderful show!
I dreamt of a place
Where the floor turned to lava
Then ice, then grass
Either way, my feet, it stung
And the weather bit my tongue
Cutting off my control
I dreamt of a place
Under the deep blue sea
My ears clogged to the brim
Your voice I could just hear
Telling me to come back
To the shore on the sunny beach
I dreamt of a place
While I was awake
Lying on my back
On my bed of pills
And then the dream came to an end
Covered in neon and gold
The colors clashed,
But that’s not what I saw
Green frogs, pink hogs, a yellow giraffe
The most normal things turned into a wonderful show!
I dreamt of a place
Where the floor turned to lava
Then ice, then grass
Either way, my feet, it stung
And the weather bit my tongue
Cutting off my control
I dreamt of a place
Under the deep blue sea
My ears clogged to the brim
Your voice I could just hear
Telling me to come back
To the shore on the sunny beach
I dreamt of a place
While I was awake
Lying on my back
On my bed of pills
And then the dream came to an end
