english,
(what used to be,
what once was)
Your touch of petals,
Light from you emitted
In the cloudless nights.
I sought out your gaze,
The world heeded my wish,
I let the gods look down on us.
(i let our doubts consume us)
(i see the caution)
Your eyes become streams
Our hearts ache on the forest floor.
I reach for you,
I count to three.
Out of my limbs’ reach,
You turn to dust.
(as you leave,
you don’t say goodbye)
