The use of plastic is still necessary but its usage needs to be responsibly regulated and properly managed in order to preserve and protect the environment from wanton destruction, said Gabriel V. Uchi from 3-Lawa.

He is one of the winning representatives of the Mr. and Mrs. Advocacy Pageant held at the 3-6 Bulwagan last February 14, 2019, Thursday.

The winning pairs of each grade level are as follows:

Grade 3 Lawa:
• Gytha Fayme A. Garcia
• Sean Ian Gabriel V. Uchi

Grade 4 Singkamas:
• Reilly Clarence B. De Leon
• Athena Elise A. De los Reyes

Grade 5 Mayon:
• Marcus Ethan M. Bamba
• Jan Makki M. Dela Cruz

Grade 6 Topaz:
• Raphael Vitto B. Janapin
• Elis Sylvia R. Reyes

Each section from Grades 3-6 were required to present two representatives who were given two weeks to prepare a costume based on their assigned category.

The categories were, Marine Life for Grades 3 to 4 and Life on Land for Grades 5 to 6.

Each pair of representatives were given time to present their advocacy and their costumes. After which, they would then randomly select a question based on their category and answer it.

The judges of the pageant are Mr. Brenson Y. Andres, Mr. Emmanuel B. Verso Jr. and Ms. Anna Christina G. Nadora. Participants were judged based on the following criteria: showmanship and confidence with thirty-five points, question and answer portion with another thirty-five points, costume and props with twenty points, and finally their introduction at ten points. //by Cyñl Tecson and Gabe Ulanday
