Sophomore swimmer Zoe Hilario was awarded the Most Valuable Player trophy for the girls’ high school division in the closing ceremonies held at SM Masinag, Mayamot, Antipolo on September 11. UPIS also took home the award for 6th performing school in the elementary division.
Hilario and Chloe Fabic, who won 11 golds and 4 silvers combined, headed the domination of the UPIS Tankers, bringing home a total of 30 medals.
In Athletics, the team of Jasper Atela, Charles Epino, Reinard Grimaldo, and Jerick Marquez placed third in both the 4x100 and 4x400 finals, adding 2 bronze medals to the tally. Also placing in the podium are throwers James Cruz, who won a silver and a bronze in shotput and discus respectively, and debuting Shaina Queri, who placed third in the girls discus throw event.
