A doorless room, white walls,
White walls, echoed sounds,
Echoed sounds, Piercèd core,
Piercèd core, spirit shaken,
Shaken, shaken,
Closing in white walls,
Growing louder echoes

A door

An open door, a kindly hand,
A kindly hand, a way out,
A way out of that perditious room,
That perditious room, my long-time home,
Home, home,
That kindly hand reaches out--
Should I let it lead me out?

Stay that hand!

The closing in white walls,
Merely they embrace,
The growing louder echoes,
Merely they lullaby

Leave me to my doorless room,
Leave me to familiar gloom
