Rest,
As though you’ve walked a million miles
Through valleys and forests and city streets
Lie down and rest your aching feet.

Rest,
As though you’ve solved all mortals’ questions
Concerning existence in life after being dead
Lie down and rest your aching head.

Rest,
As though you’ve battled the world’s warriors
Each carrying swords and clubs and axes
Lie down, and rest until the morning rays come.
