UPIS Batch 2020 students attended the Personality Development Seminar (PDS) at the Audio Visual Room (AVR) on September 18.
The seminar was hosted by Ms. Lalay Fuster, Information and Communication Officer for the Office of Alumni Affairs at the University of the Asia and the Pacific.
Fuster discussed habits of success such as time management, listening skills, decision-making & reflecting, interpersonal & social skills, empathy, professional lifestyle, and stress management.
The students were taught how to conduct themselves in the workplace. They were also given practical tips for each work habit. Some of them participated in mock interviews and team-building activities to apply the habits they learned.
According to Mrs. Cabrales, “Topics specific to soft skills, work ethics/values were discussed plus some points on stress management for UPCAT were incorporated… activities were to strengthen certain points [from the habits].“
The PSD is the third and final seminar pre-internship requirement for Grade 12 students. //by James Tolosa
