Integrated School Health and Physical Education (HPE) Department According to Prof. Paul Mabaquiao, head of the UPIS HPE, the program is mainly for affective and psychosocial aspect of faculty and staff.
"Kailangan din ng teachers ng physical activity para maiwasan yung stress ng trabaho and at the same time, be fit," Prof. Mabaquiao shared.
The program is scheduled every Thursday, 5:30pm. It consists of sports recreation, mainly Zumba headed by Mr. RJ Calso, a trained Zumba instructor, and badminton rallies led by the participating faculty and staff.
The program has always been a plan but due to lack of venue and equipment it is often called off. Beyond badminton and Zumba, the HPE committee plans to teach and facilitate more sports activities for faculty and staff. // by Jaggie Gregorio, Nathan Ramos
