academics,
UPIS Batch 2018 was deployed to various on-campus internship sites last August 23.
As a major part of the school's K-12 curriculum, the internship program enables the students to apply the skills and knowledge acquired from Kinder to Grade 11. It also provides a venue to explore their preferred occupational roles and to develop proper work attitudes.
For the first semester, students undergo on-the-job training in various UP Diliman institutions.
Each track has five internship sites, namely the College of Architecture, University Health Service, Marine Science Institute, Institute of Civil Engineering, and the Diliman Interactive Learning Center for the Applied Sciences and Engineering Track; the University Food Service, Home Economics’ Tearoom, University Hotel, Bahay ng Alumni, and Balay Kalinaw for the Business and Entrepreneurship Track; and the College of Arts and Letters, College of Mass Communication, Sentro ng Wikang Filipino, Diliman Information Office, and College of Social Work and Community Development for the Social Sciences and Humanities Track.
Students must fulfill 100 hours of deployment in their respective sites. On-campus internship is expected to conclude on November 15.
The program is made possible with the full support and active participation of partner institutions and companies.
