Batch 2030, the current Kindergarten (K) students of UP Integrated School, celebrated their first Family Day at UP Diliman last January 20.

Each section had their own theme. K-Jasmin featured “Palarong Pinoy” where they played various Filipino games such as luksong tinik, patintero, and bato bato pick at the Sunken Garden. On the other hand, K-Kamia’s theme was Safari and students wore animal headdresses at the Science Complex. Meanwhile, K-Magnolia partied with “Super Splash” where they swam and played in an inflatable pool at the K-2 Playground. Finally, K-Sampaguita’s was Family Party-themed in which they played parlor games at the UPIS Gym.

Olivia Maria Bermudez and Zyann Josepia Reyes of K-Sampaguita said that doing paper boats at the Art Station was their favorite part of the event.

According to Ms. Vicka Marie Siddayao, adviser of K-Magnolia, the Family Day was celebrated per section so that they can build bonds between their respective classmates.//by Geraldine Tingco and Alex Yangco
