geraldine tingco,
UPIS Batch ’77, led by Liza Martinez and Abigail Tumbocon, donated various equipment for the University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) 3-6 Bulwagan, which were delivered and turned over on February 7 and 12.
According to Prof. Portia Dimabuyu, the Assistant Principal for Administration, the batch initially intended to give back to their alma mater by providing whatever the school needed, but when they found out that the Bulwagan was being renovated, they decided to purchase equipment for said facility.
They provided 210 Monobloc chairs, a piano, an Epson LCD projector, 2 Iwata air coolers, and 2 Behringer speakers.
The UPIS staff was given a mini-orientation on how to operate the LCD projector and speakers by the EPSON and Behringer personnel.
Some members of the batch also painted the wall facing A. Ma. Regidor St. as part of their Brigada Eskwela and put labels on the chairs they donated on February 20.//by Nica Desierto and Geraldine Tingco
