We wait. Why should we wait? How much longer should we wait? What are we waiting for? We wait, and we wait, and we wait.

Connecting...

A connection. Could this be a sign? Is the wait finally over?

You have joined the meeting

The beginning. Icebreakers and introductions. Bright eyes and warm smiles. Laughter and easy conversation.

Then comes the comfort, the familiarity. Memories and inside jokes that only we understand. We dream of the future and tell stories of the past.

We think that maybe this is it.

Your internet connection is unstable

A brief pause. A break that remains ignored. We fill the gap with empty words and hope that it shall pass.

Yet the cracks slowly overpower us. Conversation turns into undecipherable murmurs. We hold on to the fragments of what once was, but it’s a hopeless cause.

The frame freezes. We refuse to accept what happens next.
