Grade 10 students Anton Almira, Alex Arugay, Ron Castro, Ivan Cunanan, Jarod De Luna, and Bianca Morales stayed at the Ehime University for a week. They participated in lectures and research presentations that crossed cultural borders. The group also enjoyed a cultural tour of various places around Matsuyama such as the historical city of Uchiko, Buddhist temple at Ishiteji, and the Matsuyama Castle.

“Marami kaming natutunan sa isa't isa lalo na po sa kultura ng ibang mga bansa especially, Japan. Sobrang nag-enjoy po kaming lahat kasi magaganda yung sights nung field trip at nakakita po kami ng konting Cherry Blossoms,’’ said Ron Castro said when asked about his experience.

Prof. Rachel Ramirez and Prof. Regina Taduran accompanied the group. UPIS students who were chosen to participate in this year’s program also accommodated the Ehime visitors who visited the school last year. //by Bryan Lina and Dane Jamandron
