It was one step away from that six-foot door
When the windfall
Of what happened between us last twelve midnight,
To never be, again
because on the fifth hour, on our bed
I watched you open your eyes
With irises showing clear intention,
In the glimpse of a second,
Gone,
For you were one step away,
From that six-foot door,
When I asked you to stay,
But the chances of you coming back,
Ran
Away.
Left
With this ticking clock,
and more than a thousand days to count
Because I was yours
Throughout the numbered days,

But you were never
Ever
Mine.
