You keep saying you can't
And so you don't even try,
You keep saying you'll miss
Without taking the shot

You keep saying you'll fail
And so you always keep safe,
You keep saying "no,"
Without considering "yes"

You keep your world closed
After a let down here and there,
You avoid any type of risk
And keep it an arm-length full away

You always have an excuse,
"I'll burn the bridge
when I get there,"
Without knowing for sure

You keep saying you've won
Without realizing you've lost,
You keep saying you're happy,
What an unconvincing lie

You need to hit rewind
And look at life again
It's normal to be afraid,
But going by is not to live

We fall and get back up,
That's what life's about
We live in constant doughty
Not in constant doubt

You need to hold your chin up
And remember I'm here for you
Smile and take the plunge
I promise, things will work out
