Grand Alumni Homecoming set for December 10 festivities

UP Prep, UP Elem, UP High, and UPIS alumni will reunite for the UPIS Grand Alumni Centennial Homecoming happening on December 10 at the grounds of UPIS.

Dubbed as Sang Siglong Sigla, the festivities hosted by UPIS Batch ’91 are part of the year-long celebration for the centennial anniversary of UPIS, UP Preparatory, UP Elem, and UP High. The event also commemorates the school’s evolution and achievements throughout its history.

Administrators of the four laboratory schools, namely, Prof. Ma. Theresa de Villa of UPIS, Prof. Felicia delos Santos of UP Preparatory, Prof. Corazon Libunao of UP Elem, and Dr. Natividad Munarriz of UP High will deliver speeches on the event. The celebration will trace the evolution of the four laboratory schools through the Memory Lane which will feature pictures of UPIS from 1920s to the present.

Performers and bands include the UP Pep Squad, Centennial Dance Group, The Dawn, and Retrospect. The program will be hosted by alumni celebrities such as RA Rivera, Ces Orena-Drilon, Bettina Carlos, Apollo Abraham, Jun Ganaden, and Chiqui Hollman-Yulo. The event will conclude with the turnover to Batch ’92.

The homecoming is open to all alumni of the four laboratory schools. Attendees will be charged with an entrance fee of 100 pesos and may register online here. Registration at the venue will start at 4 pm.
