You were once the poem I wanted to write

Now I can’t write a word at all

You were once the picture I wanted to draw

Now I can’t pick up my pencil anymore

You were once the story of my life

Now I don’t know what the next chapter holds

You were once the song I can’t stop singing

Now it seems I’ve lost my voice

You were once the sunrise I wanted to capture

Now I’m stuck in a neverending sunset

You were once the truth I held onto

Now I have to believe a lie to move on
