Her eyes were red, her voice was shaking
Disconnected, distraught, hard to reach
Everyone knew that her heart was aching
Give her time
That's all she needs
Everything around her, as it seems, was different
All her actions governed by regret
But she still craves the love, the spontaneous moments
Give her time
She's not ready, not yet
Don't ask why it hurts her so
Or why she's hard to be around
Because even she doesn't completely know
Give her time
To figure things out and grow
Overwhelmed by how much she wanted to change
The way that everything went
She can't help but continue to take the blame
But give her time…
