Five University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) students travelled to Hong Kong last November 2 to 4 for the I Can Fly program.

Cathay Pacific handpicked the UPIS I Can Fly participants to fly to Hong Kong to tour the airline's main headquarters. Three of the students from Grade 10 who were picked in this year’s program, were Erika Sasazawa, Owen Bernos and Eunice Ruivivar and with them were the previous year’s awardees, Gabriel Aparato and Fred Samonte from Grade 11.

The trip served as their reward for having the best overall performance in the program. They also visited some of Hong Kong's most famous landmarks such as Disneyland and City Gate. Aparato shared that the tour was "an experience worth remembering."

Cathay Pacific’s I Can Fly program aims to educate participating students about the airline industry and to familiarize them with things like office work and the processes behind a normal flight.//by Nico Javier
