She used to be
A blank canvas,
A slab of marble,
Something unnoticed
By the people around her.

Nothing she was
To the eyes of many
For no one knows
What beauty
She has in store.

Seasons change
And so do people.
Towards the light
She stepped out
As someone
No one realized
She was.

She wasn’t merely
A blank canvas
Or a slab of marble:
She was better.
A work of art she was
And time
Was her artist.

Such elegance she held
As people looked at her.
Mesmerized,
Astonished by her beauty,
Far better than
The Mona Lisa
Of Da Vinci.

She was near perfection,
She brought more color
Than that of
Van Gogh's.
A masterpiece,
A chef-d'œuvre.

And even my heart
Was captivated
By the marvel she held.
