The UPIS Scrabble Team placed second out of 16 schools in the Milo Little Olympics Scrabble Tournament last September 8 and 9 at the Marikina Sports Building.
The format of the competition was “The King of the Hill,” wherein the number of wins and losses are counted before the competitive spread. Their ranking is represented by their table number. The UPIS team of Diego Manansala, Angelo Nueva, Regie dela Cruz, Anthony Gososo, and Eric Rarugal has always been placed either at the 1st or 2nd table.
The final 4 schools competed in the championship rounds on September 9 wherein the UPIS Scrabble Team scored 7 wins and 5 losses in the 3-round championship match.
