Do you remember, Romeo?
How it used to feel as if the world revolved around her
How her eyes felt like summer in the middle of winter
How her smile alone made everything better

Remember, Romeo?
When she was the song that kept playing in your head
Her graceful soul in your arms you held
But in the end she left you hanging by a thread

Remember, Romeo?
How much it hurt when she walked out
Like shattered glass the parting words left her mouth
How she was your religion and you were her devout

Remember, Romeo?
How difficult it is to forget that one last kiss
The feel of her hand upon yours
And how stupid it is for you to miss
How pathetic every breath feels without her
And how much you dreamt of your happily ever after

But remember, Romeo
There are millions of Juliets out there
The ones who can make the pain you feel right now disappear
The ones who can promise you a love that can’t compare

Remember, Romeo
How much it hurts me to think of what you once were
Because the words that I’ve always wanted you to say to me
Were the ones that you kept repeating to her

Remember, Romeo
That I’m the one who was there from the start
The one who always tried to protect your fragile heart
Even if I’m the one who ends up falling apart

Remember, Romeo
That I’m the one who was there from the start
The one who always tried to protect your fragile heart
Even if I’m the one who ends up falling apart

Remember, Romeo
How I was there to fix your broken pieces
And that I’ve always stood by you
So maybe you’ll open your eyes and finally see
That I could be your Juliet, too.
