berna bagnes,
Computers at the UPIS Library finally get an upgrade.
Fifteen new Apple iMac units and a faster internet connection were recently installed for the use of students and faculty members.
The upgrades are part of the UP Administrator’s eUP project which, according to their site, aims to "make a fully connected and integrated UP Information and Communication Technology (ICT) system to support and improve academic and operational excellence".
The project will enable the University, including UPIS, to improve its operational efficiency and to better cater to the needs of its stakeholders. This is one of the major projects of the Office of the Vice President for Development (OVPD) toward UP President Alfredo Pascual’s goals for the university. / with reports from B. Bagnes, K. Cardoz, et al.
