According to Prof. Ma. Lourdes Vargas, head of CA EMA department, the Learning Plus or L+ program was started by Prof. Bernadette Santos in AY 2005-2006. It was revived in 2011, but due to conflicts in the schedule it was discontinued. This year, the schedule has been set in place and the program is more structured.
Students part of the program are required to attend 1-hour sessions which include lessons that aim to develop good reading habits and positive reading attitude. Parents with children part of the program will receive a letter regarding the session details.

The Department of CA English, Music and Art (CA EMA) has started preparations for a reading remediation program for Grades 3-9 students this school year.According to Prof. Ma.
