Club Orientation conducted for Grades 7-10

The University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) Club Orientation for Grades 7-10 was held last Tuesday, August 14 at the UPIS Auditorium.

Fifteen organizations, including three varsity teams, introduced to their fellow students their goals, projects and activities. Hosted by Pamunuan ng Kamag-Aral (PKA) 7-10 President, Magan Basilio and Vice President, Danie Cabrera, each club did various creative presentations in order to persuade students to join.

The club orientation officially started with the opening remarks from the PKA adviser, Mr. Molave Macapagal, where he discussed the general guidelines on club enlistment.

After which, the Math Club adviser, Ms. Angel Rocena presented a video showing what their club was all about, while the Kilusang Araling Panlipunan (KAP) advisers Mr. Abraham Sionil and Ms. Frauline Tadle discussed the plans of the organization this school year. One of these is a talk about career opportunities in the Social Sciences field.

On the other hand, English Club adviser Prof. Lourdes Vargas mentioned that the debate club Forum will be revived this year and it aims to train students who can be potential representatives for debate competitions.//by Gian Palomeno and Roan Ticman
