Batches 2NT and 2ONE gathered for “Grandeur,” the school’s Junior-Senior Promenade held on April 14 at Silver Lotus Events Place.

To make the guests feel like they truly are royalty even just for a night, the Junior Association (JA) made this year’s prom into a royal-themed event.

The organizers included twists to the program to make the event even more memorable. Instead of just one cotillion, they prepared three separate dances: cotillion de honor, rigodon de honor and the Junior-Senior dance. They also added special awards for the best-dressed which made Neil Joshua de Dios and Erika Sasazawa, both from batch 2NT, the Lord and Lady of the Night.

Bryant Matthew Galicia and Carissa Shane Nicole Quitaleg were crowned as Prom King and Prom Queen respectively while Raikkonen Lewis Uera and Jelena Micah Basilio were proclaimed as Prom Prince and Prom Princess.

The traditional turn-over ceremony was also held as Johanna Neri bequeathed the Key of Responsibility to Julia Anne Mapa, while Bryant Matthew Galicia passed down the Banner of Excellence to Julianne Marie Sasing. Mae Rodgers then entrusted the Torch of Light to Zoe Marie Hilario.

Several bands such as Prizmo, Track Band 2.0, Titos, and Amamimamols serenaded the guests during the event.

When asked about her experience, Bree Mavic Angelene Catibog, the Vice President of the JA, stated, “Nakakatuwa ’pag nakikita niyong nag-e-enjoy sila tapos nakakakuha pa kayo ng magandang feedback. So ayun, all in all masasabi kong worth it lahat ng effort ng JA para sa event na ito.”//by Geraldine Tingco
