I will go back
To a journey nearly forgotten

I will play our song once more
Till I learn the harmony right¹
I will paint our picture
Just like how I would before²
And repeat all your sweet words,
Our dates, and the craziest things we do³
I will pick myself up, dust off
Go, and hurt no more⁴
I would fight, and would definitely stay⁵
For this- our love,
Beyond the control of math and sciences
Rather, kept by the universe⁶
Which I wish I find the last⁷
And I’d give another chance⁸
Hoping you’ll never think of leaving⁹
I will vow to marry life
And happiness¹⁰
To keep us free, in love, in time¹¹
And I will go back to you-
My home¹², my love for life¹³
Till death do us part¹⁴

Today
I choose to go back
To a journey nearly forgotten
So I can move on
Free from the gaffes of the past
And with a heart braver for tomorrow
