Eight senior high school students from Matsuyama Higashi High School in Japan visited the University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) last August 11 through the Super Global High School program.

The program was launched in 2014 to nurture globalized student leaders who are aware of social issues by collaborating with domestic and overseas educational institutions. The program was launched through the efforts of the Japanese government to promote understanding of other cultures and school systems.

Delegates sent to UPIS took part in class discussions and observed how Grade 10 classes at UPIS were conducted. They were accompanied by two teachers from their school.
