Once there was a guy
Who captured
Everyone’s
Beautiful smiles
Serious looks
Saddest tears
Wildest laughs
Deepest fears
Smallest lies
Littlest hopes
Unknown talents

He collected these photos
And tried to know
Each and every single detail
                every single part
                every single design
                every single element
of everyone’s faces
for he believes
that these have value
So he memorized them

But then one day
He saw a mirror
He looked at it
And he cried

From that moment he knew
He forgot that his
Smiles, looks, tears, laughs, fears, lies, hopes, talents
Have value, too

From that moment I knew
That being behind the lenses
Took away
The love I once had for myself
